DOTD and the Regional Planning Commission invite citizens to attend a community open house meeting on the proposed replacement of the Belle Chasse Tunnel and Bridge.

The public can attend the open house meeting any time between 5:00 and 8:00 pm to view information, ask questions and offer comments. The information available at this meeting will acquaint the public with the project and
updates since the last public meeting occurred on June 7, 2016 as well as outline the preferred alternative under consideration, a new 4-lane, 73-foot fixed bridge over the GIWW with pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and potential construction financing.

Comments from the public or stakeholder agencies on potential environmental effects associated with the proposed project alternatives are welcome. All written statements and/or comments may be submitted either at the meeting or within 10 calendar days following the meeting Friday, July 20, 2018:
