The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that the newly constructed roundabout at the intersection of LA 184 and LA 468 in Leesville is open to all traffic.

**UPDATE**
ROAD CLOSURE – LA 468 WEST AND LA 184 SCHEDULED TO BE REOPENED JANUARY 24, 2019;
LA 468 EAST TO BE CLOSED JANUARY 24, 2019;

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that, weather permitting, LA 184 and LA 468 0.13 miles West of the LA 184/468 Intersection will be REOPENED effective JANUARY 24, 2019. Also effective that date, LA 468 0.14 East of the LA 184/468 Intersection will be CLOSED to through traffic. This closure is anticipated to be in effect for approximately (2) months.
Permit/Detour Section
There will be no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction. The following detour will be observed for LA 468 East of the LA 184/468 Intersection:
WESTBOUND TRAFFIC:
At the intersection of LA 468 and LA 28, LA 468 traffic will be directed West on LA 28 to LA 184; then south on LA 184 back to LA 468.
EASTBOUND TRAFFIC:
At the roundabout intersection of LA 468 and LA 184, LA 468 traffic will be directed North on LA 184 to LA 28; then East on LA 28 back to LA 468.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that effective JULY 16, 2018; LA 184 will be CLOSED 0.13 miles North of the LA 184/468 intersection AND LA 468 will be CLOSED 0.13 miles West of the LA 184/468 Intersection. This closure is anticipated to be in effect for approximately (3) months.
Permit/Detour Section
The detour route will be as follows:
At the intersection of LA 468 and LA 8, LA 184 traffic will be directed west on LA 468 to the temporary diversion road; then south on LA 184.
At the intersection of LA 468 and LA 8, LA 468 traffic will be directed west on LA 8 to US 171; then south on US 171 back to LA 468.
At the intersection of LA 468 and US 171, LA 184 traffic will be directed North on US 171 to LA 8; then east on LA 8 to LA 468; then west on LA 468 to the temporary diversion road; then south on LA 184.
At the intersections of LA 8 and US 171, LA 184 traffic will be directed east on LA 8 to LA 468; then west on LA 468 to the temporary diversion road; then south on LA 184.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that effective JULY 6, 2018 LA 184 will be CLOSED 0.13 miles North of the LA 184/468 intersection AND LA 468 will be CLOSED 0.13 miles West of the LA 184/468 Intersection. This closure is anticipated to be in effect for approximately (3) months.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the LA 184 and LA 468 Roundabout Project on June 11, 2018 and will continue for approximately (6) six months. This new roundabout construction and overlay project is located on LA 184 at the junction with LA 468. This 0.572 mile roundabout project will receive clearing, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, class II base course, portland cement concrete pavement, asphalt concrete overlay, and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Williams Equipment, LLC in the amount of $2,228,575.76.
Permit/Detour Section
The contractor will begin Stage I, installing the temporary detour roadway, on Monday, June 11, 2018 and the existing roadways will remain open to all local and through traffic with no restrictions. The roadways may be reduced to one lane as needed during construction operations. This press release will be updated in regards to all detours and restrictions throughout the staging of the project.
