The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Thursday, May 17, subsurface utility work will begin on LA 675 from West Dale Street to Bayou Teche in Iberia Parish.

The work is estimated to take place daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., weather permitting.

There will be intermittent lane closures of approximately 100 feet in both directions of traffic for subsurface utility locating operations.

The road will be open to regular traffic; however, traffic will follow flagger operations around the lane closure. There is a 12-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.

LA 674 may be used as an alternate route.

The project will include saw cutting asphalt pavement, potholing excavation, pavement patching, and related work.

The project is estimated for completion in mid June 2018.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience this necessary work may cause.
