BROUSSARD, LA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that on Monday, April 23 at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, April 24 at 6 a.m. the intersection of US 90 at Alberstons Parkway/St. Nazaire Road will be closed to turning movements through the intersection due to road and bridge construction.

US 90 in the eastbound and westbound directions will be open at all times.

Eastbound traffic on Albertsons Parkway will be open at all times.

Westbound traffic on St. Nazaire will be detoured to LA 96.

Traffic will not be allowed to cross US 90 at the Albertsons Parkway/St. Nazaire intersection.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience to the traveling public and encourages motorists to lookout for crews and their equipment.

As part of the Geaux South program, current work underway is related to the $57.1 million design-build project that involves widening U.S 90 to six-lanes from Albertson Parkway to north of the Ambassador Caffery intersection. The project will also construct an overpass along U.S. 90 above Albertson Parkway, a new railroad overpass and modify the adjacent frontage roads. Work on the project is slated for completion in summer 2018.
