UPDATE: As of 8:15 p.m., LA 142 in Morehouse Parish was reopened to traffic.

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE
Effective immediately, LA 142 (Crossett Hwy) in Morehouse Parish will be closed at a location near the Louisiana/Arkansas state line. This closure is required to clear the roadway of a vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler tanker truck. Given the size of the vehicle involved, the removal process could take the majority of the day. As soon as the roadway is cleared and deemed safe for traffic, the route will be reopened.
PERMIT/DETOUR
No official detour has been established at this time. Louisiana State Police are on the scene and overseeing the accident site.
