I-12 Guard Rail Work, from Milepost 38 (US 51 Business) to Milepost 53 (St Tammany Parish Line), Tangipahoa Parish, State Project No. 454-03-0075

Alternating lane closures, Eastbound and Westbound I-12, will be in effect beginning Monday, August 5^th between 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, through Thursday August 8^th for guardrail work.

One lane will be open at all times.  Reduced speed limits will be posted.  Expect a 5 to 10 minute delay.

DETOUR INFO:  Eastbound motorists on I-12 can avoid this work zone by exiting at US 51 Business (Exit 38), drive north on US 51 Business about 1.7 miles to the junction of US 190, travel east on US 190 for approximately 17 miles to the junction of LA 1077, then south on LA 1077 to the junction of I-12.  Westbound motorists can detour from I-12 to LA 1077 (exit 57), north on LA 1077 to the junction of US 190, west on US 190 to the junction of US 51 Business, then south on US 51 Business to the junction of I-12.

There will be no restrictions on oversized loads at this time.
