The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the Lake Arthur Bridge over the Mermentau River on Hwy 14 E. between Zigler Drive and Lakeshore Road will have alternating lane closures in the east and westbound directions on Thursday, March 1, for routine bridge inspection.

This closure is estimated to take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Two way traffic will be maintained utilizing a flagging operation.

The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12 foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
