Baton Rouge, La.- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the postponed Jan. 18 public meeting concerning the proposed maintenance and rehabilitation project along the Kansas City Southern (KCS) railroad in East Baton Rouge Parish has been rescheduled for Monday, Jan. 29.

The public meeting is as follows:

Monday, Jan. 29
5:30 p.m.
New St. John Baptist Church
1455 South Blvd.
Baton Rouge, LA 70802

The Department, along with the City of Baton Rouge, is conducting the open house public meeting in an effort to gather more information regarding the railroad project. DOTD announced last month that the public comment period was extended in order to give the Department an opportunity to reconsider plans that were presented at the public meeting on November 6.

Representatives will be available to answer questions and discuss issues related to the project. Oral and written comments on the project can be submitted at the meeting or downloaded from the project’s website and returned via mail or fax (225-242-4500).
