LA 42 Widening and Improvements, Intermittent Lane Closures

Construction has begun for State Project H.002423, LA 42 Widening. The project consists of grading, drainage structures, subgrade treatment, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, landscaping, asphalt concrete pavement, portland cement concrete pavement, and related work in Ascension Parish.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be intermittent lane closures @ the intersection of LA 42 & LA 73 on Saturday, January 13th. Work in this area consists of installation of subsurface drainage crossing LA 73. Closures will be going in the east direction along LA 42 to LA 73. And in both directions along LA 73 where it intersects with LA 42. Work in this area affecting LA 73 is expected to last approximately one day, weather permitting.
