The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that the Union Pacific Railroad Overpass located near Tioga on US 71 is open to all traffic.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 7:00 AM, weather permitting, construction work will begin on Union Pacific Railroad Overpass near Tioga located on US 71. The bridge will be closed to traffic for approximately one year and the work will consist of removing the existing bridge and replacing it with a concrete slab span and girder bridge and related work. The construction work is expected to be completed by January 2019.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Monday January 08, 2018 at 7:00 AM, weather permitting, construction work will begin on Union Pacific Railroad Overpass near Tioga located on US 71. The bridge will be closed to traffic for approximately one year and the work will consist of removing the existing bridge and replacing it with a concrete slab span and girder bridge and related work. The construction work is expected to be completed by January 2019.
Permit/Detour Section
US 71 Detour
Northbound Traffic: US 71 Northbound traffic will be detoured onto US 165 North towards Kingsville, LA, then onto US 167 North (Pineville Expressway). Traffic will then exit off of US 167 North (Pineville Expressway) onto US 71/ LA 3225 at Tioga, LA.
Southbound Traffic: US 71/ LA 3225 Southbound traffic will be detoured onto US 167 South (Pineville Expressway) then onto US 165 South towards Alexandria, LA. Traffic can then exit off US 165 South onto US 71.
All routes will be represented with the appropriate detour signage.
