TERREBONNE PARISH, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation announces the reopening of the La. 3011/Drain Canal Bridge after a pile support failure prompted a nearly $745,000 emergency repair. Work began on October 18, 2017, and was performed by statewide bridge and district maintenance/asphalt crews.

Although work on the bridge is not entirely complete, DOTD was able to safely reopen it to traffic, eliminating an 11-mile detour just in time for holiday travel.
