DOTD announces the start of a Road Construction Project on LA 697 from LA 696 to LA 343 in Vermilion Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, November 27, construction will begin on a $1.52 million project on LA 697 from LA 696 to LA 343 in Vermilion Parish.

The work is estimated to take place daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.

The road will be open to regular traffic, but no permit loads will be allowed on this section of roadway for the duration of this project.

The project will include replacing drainage structures, cold planing asphaltic concrete, subgrade treatment, in-place cement stabilized base course, asphaltic surface treatment, superpave asphaltic concrete pavement and related work.

The project is estimated for completion in spring of 2018.
