The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the inside lane of I-10 eastbound from the LA 328 Overpass to the Vermilion River Bridge will be closed beginning Thursday, November 16, until Sunday, November 19, to install temporary barrier rails.
This closure is estimated to take place from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., weather permitting.
DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience to the traveling public and encourages motorists to lookout for crews and their equipment.
The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
