The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the inside lane of I-10 westbound from the LA 328 Overpass to the I-49 intersection will be closed on Wednesday, November 15, to install temporary barrier rails.
This closure is estimated to take place from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., weather permitting.
DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience to the traveling public and encourages motorists to lookout for crews and their equipment.
The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
