LA 1231-2: 0.4 miles north of the south junction with US 167; Winn Parish; Pipe Replacement

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Thursday, November 9th, 2017 at approximately 4:30 pm, LA 1231-2 will be closed 0.4 miles north of the south junction with US 167. The intent of this closure is to replace the existing deteriorated pipe with a triple barrel 54-inch reinforced concrete pipes. This pipe location is under contract and was awarded to RMK Construction Company, LLC at a cost of $155,505.40. The contractor plans to begin replacement in early January 2018. This pipe site is being closed early than anticipated due to the advanced deterioration of the pipes. This closure is expected to last approximately 3 months.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the pipe replacement. The detour is as follows.
Northbound traffic on LA 1231-2 will detour on US 167 north back to LA 1231-2.
Southbound traffic on La 1231-2 will detour on US 167 south back to La 1231-2.
