The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the LA 473 Pavement Patching and Overlay Project on Monday, September 25, 2017 and will continue for approximately (3) three months. This pavement patching and overlay project is located on LA 473 from its junction with LA 191 to its junction with LA 392. This 8.262 mile overlay project will receive grading, pavement patching, milling asphalt concrete, asphalt concrete overlay, and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Prairie Contractors Inc in the amount of $1,390,386.13.
Permit/Detour Section
The contractor will begin pavement patching on Monday, September, 2017 and the roadway will be open to all local and through traffic with no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles.
The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction operations.
