UPDATE: LA 18 (ST. JAMES PARISH) ROAD CLOSURE

LA 18 (ST. JAMES PARISH) – A road closure will take place from 12:00 AM to 5:30 AM on LA 18 northbound & southbound on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 and Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. No thru traffic will be allowed to pass during this road closure.
The closure will be from Sydney Rd. to Syongy Ln.
The closure is necessary for the installation of steel girders for the pipe rack across LA 18 for YCI’s MOF project.
In the event of an emergency, the limestone diversion road adjacent to LA 18 will be available for emergency vehicles to pass through the closure. No regular traffic will be allowed to use this during the closure times.
Detour routes for non-emergency vehicles are as follows:
Northbound – Take LA 18 to LA 3219 turn right on LA 3127, then right on LA 70 to LA 18.
Southbound – Take LA 18, turn left on LA 70, and turn left on 3127 to LA 3219 to LA 18.
