St. Tammany Parish Road Closure
I-12 at Hwy. 11 junction
TOTAL ROAD CLOSURE –
EAST BOUND AND WEST BOUND I-12
There will be a total road closure of I-12, East bound and West bound, at 210 feet east of Hwy. 11 (Mile Point 83.85; Log Mile 30.94) on Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 2:00 AM until 4:00 AM. This is to allow the removal of an overhead electrical line, weather permitting.
There will be message boards in the necessary locations to advise motorists of this, as well as state police to assist.
DETOUR ROUTES
Motorists going west on I-12 can take I-10 West, exit on Hwy. 190/Gause Blvd., proceed west to Hwy. 11, proceed north back to I-12.
Motorists going east on I-12 can exit at the Hwy. 11 exit, proceed north to Hwy. 1090 to I-59 south, then proceed south to the junction of I-12/I-10.
Emergency vehicles will need to follow the above detours or utilize other streets. There will be no access on this section of I-12 due to electrical wires being across I-12.
