The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will hold an open house public hearing to discuss the results of the Nelson Road Extension & Bridge and W. Sallier Street Improvements Environmental Assessment (EA). Those interested may review detailed information contained in the EA, copies of which have been made available at Calcasieu Parish Central Library (301 West Claude Street, Lake Charles), Carnegie Memorial Library (411 Pujo Street, Lake Charles), and DOTD Lake Charles District (5827 Highway 90 East, Lake Charles). The EA is also available on the DOTD website at the following link:
Environmental Assessment
All interested parties are invited to review the EA and are encouraged to attend the public hearing scheduled at the following date, time, and location:

The public hearing will use an open house format. A prerecorded presentation describing project location, design features, impacts, schedule, and right-of-way requirements will run continuously during the hearing. Protect team representatives from DOTD, and the engineering consultant (Stantec) will be present to answer questions. Written statements may be submitted at the hearing or mailed prior to September 5, 2017, to Ms. Jessica Keasler at 2822-B O’Neal Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
