Update (July 10, 2017): Duty Ferry which was previously closed due to transmission repair is back in operation and open to all vehicular traffic.

DOTD thanks you for your patience while the crews were completing repairs.


Update (July 6, 2017): Duty Ferry remains closed. The Mechanical crews will begin the transmission installation at Duty Ferry on Monday, July 10, 2017, and is anticipated to be completed and open approximately Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

DOTD apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks you for your patience and understanding.
Update (June 20, 2017): Duty Ferry in Catahoula Parish will be closed until further notice while crews perform major mechanical repairs to the transmission. Repairs are being made as quickly as possible.

Update: It is anticipated for Duty Ferry to be closed approximately a week, June 23, 2017, while major mechanical repairs are completed as quickly as possible.
Duty Ferry in Catahoula Parish is closed immediately, Thursday, June 15, 2017, until further notice while crews perform mechanical repairs.

The detour route is LA 124 East to LA 8 East to US 425 North to LA 128 West to LA 4 West to LA 559.
