DOTD to hold public meeting concerning new flashing yellow arrow signals in Ouachita Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will hold a public meeting concerning the upgrade of designated traffic signals across Ouachita Parish to include flashing yellow arrow signals.

The meeting will be held in an open house style format where attendees can ask questions and receive information regarding the new signals and their locations.

The flashing yellow arrows will replace a solid green bulb to indicate the motorist should yield to oncoming traffic during a left turn. Flashing yellow arrow signals have been shown to increase safety and reduce traffic delays.

The public meeting will be held at the following time and location:

May 31, 2017

5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Monroe Public Safety Center

1810 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive
