LA 586, West Carroll Parish

UPDATE: The construction work on LA 586 in West Carroll Parish is now complete. LA DOTD appreciates the traveling public's patience and cooperation during the duration of this project.
UPDATE: Traffic will still be intermitently reduced to one lane until embankment and final striping work can be completed, but the 12 foot width restriction will no longer be needed. LA 586 is now open to all traffic. All work on this project is expected to be complete by October 13, 2017 weather permitting.
LA 586 in West Carroll Parish will be intermittently reduced to one lane. The lane closures will start anywhere from the intersection of LA 586 and LA 585 near Concord and continue to the intersection of LA 586 and LA 17 near Oak Grove. The lane closures will begin on Monday, May 22nd, 2017 and continue until approximately Thursday, September 21st, 2017. The lane closures will begin each morning around 7:00 A.M. and end around 5:00 P.M. each evening, weather permitting. No work on LA 586 is projected on the weekends at this time. These lane closures will allow contractors to perform work on existing drainage structures, rehabilitate the existing base, and install new asphalt surfacing.
Detours/Permits:
Detour routes will not be provided. LA 586 will be open to traffic. During this time, traffic will be restricted to 12' travel widths.
