UPDATE: Lane Closure, US 51B @ I-12, TANGIPAHOA PARISH

Alternating left and right lane closures on north bound and south bound US 51 Business approaching the I-12 overpass will be in effect nightly from 7 pm to 6 am beginning Monday, August 28th , and continuing until Tuesday, September 12th for bridge painting.
One lane in northbound and southbound roadways will remain open at all times.
Permit/Detour Section
Oversize loads are restricted to 12 feet in width.
To avoid these lane closures, US 51 Business motorists may use I-55 as an alternate route.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the work site and be on the lookout for work crews and equipment.
