The Louisiana Department of Transportation (DOTD) advises the public that on May 28, 2013 work will continue on Street Improvements for the City of Alexandria. On Tuesday, May 28, 2013 the project to rehabilitate the concrete pavement of North Boulevard will start. The construction will be similar to the recent concrete rehabilitation on Memorial Drive. This is the last of the 15 streets to be rehabilitated under a $5.5 Million Dollar Street Improvement Project undertaken by the City of Alexandria and La DOTD. The work consists of concrete paving panel replacements on North Boulevard between Memorial Drive and MacArthur Drive. It is anticipated that the work will take approximately (2) months to complete.
Permit/Detour section
At this time no detours will be necessary. However, the roadway will be reduced to one lane in each direction at times and at times the center turn lane will be closed.
