DOTD to close westbound lane of La. 511 Jimmie Davis Bridge for routine bridge inspection

BOSSIER CITY, La. -- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today that the westbound lane of the La. 511, Jimmie Davis Bridge, will be closed on Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day to allow crews to perform a routine bridge inspection.

 

Motorists will be detoured from the Jimmie Davis Highway onto the A.R. Teague Parkway. Motorists will utilize the Shreveport Barksdale Bridge (La. 3032) to cross the Red River into Shreveport.   

 

This closure will allow eastbound vehicles 12 feet wide or smaller to cross the Jimmie Davis Bridge.
