LA 8 from its Junction w/LA 121 to Junction LA 465

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises that weather permitting on Monday, May 8, 2013 road construction work will begin on LA 8 from its Junction with LA 121 to Junction LA 465. This 7.173 mile long road reconstruction project will receive cold planing, lime treatment, in-place cement stabilized base course, superpave asphaltic concrete pavement, and related work. The project was awarded to the low bidder, Prairie Contractors Inc., in the amount of $1,502,390.98.

Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be open to traffic at all times. There will be no restrictions for regular traffic and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles.
