UPDATE: Revised detour routes for partial closure of I-220 in Caddo Parish
In order to more efficiently and effectively manage traffic flow, the Louisiana Dept. of Transportation & Development (DOTD) announces revised detour routes for a partial closure of I-220 in Caddo Parish.
This closure is for pavement reconstruction during which eastbound lanes will be removed and replaced.
From Friday, Feb. 3rd, 2017 at 8PM to Monday, Feb. 6th, 2017 at 5AM, I-220 will be closed from LA 1 (North Market St.) to LA 173 (Shreveport-Blanchard Hwy). Eastbound traffic will be re-routed at Exit 5 onto LA 173 (Shreveport-Blanchard Hwy). Westbound traffic will be re-routed at Exit 7A onto LA 1 (North Market St).
Alternate Routes:
Eastbound – LA 173 (Shreveport-Blanchard Hwy) to LA 3194 (Martin Luther King Dr.) to LA 1 (North Market St.) back to I-220
Westbound – LA 1 (N. Market St.) to LA 3094 (N. Hearne Ave.) to LA 173 (Shreveport-Blanchard Hwy) back to I-220
DOTD reminds motorists that it is unsafe and unlawful to drive onto a closed road past a “road closed” barricade at any time for any reason.
