HAMMOND, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that beginning Monday, October 24, crews will begin final passes to remove flood debris along state routes in Livingston, St. Helena and Tangipahoa parishes.

DOTD encourages citizens to move flood debris to the side of the roadway for pick up. The last day for debris removal is Friday, November 4.

Heavy rain that led to massive flooding hit southeast Louisiana in early August, affecting thousands of homes. DOTD is responsible for picking up debris on all routes in the state system, including all state, interstate and U.S. routes in the affected area.
