The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on October 25, 2016 at 8:00 am, LA 1221 will be closed 2.6 miles north of its junction with LA 120. The intent of this closure is to remove a 96-inch double barrel metal pipe and replace with a 72 inch four-barrel concrete pipe. This closure is expected to last 30 days.
Permit/Detour Section
The roadway will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the pipe replacement. There will not be a detoured route as this route ends approximately 1.3 miles north of the pipe replacement, which starts the beginning of Natchitoches Parish road named Bethany Highway Extension.
