The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today that beginning Monday, October 10, until Thursday, October 13, Interstate 49 in the north and southbound directions, from I-10 in Lafayette Parish to the Avoyelles Parish line, will have short term alternating lane closures for a sweeping operation, weather permitting

Lane closures are estimated to take place from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Oversized loads and emergency vehicles will have access to the area. A detour is not needed for this lane closure.
