LA 637 (W. 10th Street), St. John the Baptist Parish, will be closed to through traffic from LA 44 to the CN Railroad line beginning at 7 am on Tuesday August 30 and continuing until approximately October 15, 2016 for road construction. LA 637 will be opened from US 61 to the CN Railroad line for local traffic only.
A detour route is posted, directing LA 637 south bound traffic to US 61 for 0.7 miles to LA 53, south on LA 53 for 1.6 miles to LA 44, then west on LA 44 for 0.8 miles to the junction of LA 637. North bound traffic will be detoured east on LA 44 for 0.8 miles to LA 53, north on LA 53 for 1.6 miles to US 61, then west on US 61 for 0.7 miles to the junction of LA 637.
