This is to advise that on Monday, March 18, 2013 beginning at 8:30 a.m., the LA 173 bridge over Mahlin Bayou, near Blanchard, in Caddo Parish, approximately 0.48 miles east of the junction of LA 1, will be closed for five (5) days for piling repairs. 

Alternate Route:

Total bridge closure.  ALL vehicles must detour using LA 1, LA 530, US 71 and LA 173. (This detour route is due to LA 169 and LA 538 both are closed for bridge replacement and I-49 construction).

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
