The Regional Planning Commission invites citizens to attend a public information meeting offered in a community open house format, on the proposed replacement of the Belle Chasse Tunnel and Bridge. Project information is available at http://www.bellechassestudy.org

There is no formal presentation. The public can attend any time between 5:00 and 8:00 pm to view information, ask questions and offer comments. The information available will acquaint the public with project updates since the initial meeting occurred on February 26, 2013 as well as outline current alternatives under consideration, including a new 4-or 6-lane, 73-foot fixed bridge over the GIWW. The replacement also includes a pedestrian sidewalk and bicycle lane.
Comments from the public or stakeholder agencies on potential environmental effects associated with the proposed project alternatives are welcome. All written statements and/or comments may be submitted either at the meeting or within 10 calendar days following the meeting (Friday, June 17, 2016):
