The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Tuesday May 3, 2016 at 9:00 AM, weather permitting, the right northbound travel lane of I-49 south of Alexandria (Mile Marker 79) will be temporarily closed to daytime traffic. After this is completed, the right southbound travel lane of I-49 north of Alexandria (Mile Marker 97) will be temporarily closed to daytime traffic. The work will consist of repairing the existing shoulders at these locations. The construction work is expected to be completed by Friday May 6, 2016.

There are no detours at this time associated with these lane closures.

NOTE: There will be NO width restrictions associated with these lane closures.
