Memorial Drive, Rapides Parish, Street Improvements

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) Construction Coordinator, Steve Buskie, advises the public that on Monday, February 25, 2013, work will continue on street improvements for the City of Alexandria. The project to rehabilitate the concrete pavement of Memorial Drive will continue. The work consists on concrete paving replacements on Memorial Drive between Lee Street and Masonic Drive. It is anticipated that the work will take approximately two (2) months to complete.
Permit/Detour section
The roadway will be changed to only allow for one way traffic. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter from the Lee Street and Sterkx Road end of Memorial Drive at that time. The lane closures will be limited to one block at a time.
