DOTD announces intermittent single-lane closures on I-10 in West Baton Rouge Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced today that there will be intermittent single-lane closures on I-10 in West Baton Rouge Parish on the weekends of Friday, Jan. 22 and Friday, Jan. 29.

No permit loads wider than 12 feet will be allowed near the work zones. The closures will allow DOTD crews to patch and pave the roadway and are as follows:

• The westbound right lane of I-10 will be closed two miles west of Exit 151 at LA 415 on Friday, Jan. 22 at 6:30 p.m. until Monday, Jan. 25 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
• The eastbound left lane of I-10 at LA 1, or Exit 153, will be closed on Friday, Jan. 22 at 8:30 p.m. until Monday, Jan. 25 at 6 p.m., weather permitting.
• The eastbound right lane of I-10 at LA 1, or Exit 153, will be closed on Friday, Jan. 29 at 8:30 p.m. until Monday, Feb. 1 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

DOTD reminds motorists to drive with caution through construction sites and look out for work crews and their equipment. DOTD also encourages motorists to utilize the US 190 detour.
