DOTD announces ferry schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the ferry schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays (Thursday, Dec. 24, through Friday, Jan. 1).

• The Plaquemine Ferry will run its regular schedule on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. On Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, the ferry will operate one vessel between the hours of 4:30 a.m. and 8 p.m.

• The Duty and Cameron Ferries will run a regular schedule during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. During this time, there will be no changes.

• For information on the Chalmette and Canal Street Ferries, please contact the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) at 504-309-9789

The revised schedule is only in effect from Dec. 24 to Jan. 1, after which all ferries will resume normal operating hours.
