$4.6M preservation project set to begin on La. 359 in St. Landry Parish

ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, April 7, 2025, construction will begin on a $4.6 million project along a 4.36-mile section of La. 359 from Bolden Road to La. 10.
SCOPE OF WORK
The project will include drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, lime treatment, in-place cement treated subgrade and base, pavement patching , asphalt concrete, pavement markings ,and related work.
TRAVEL IMPACTS
Work is expected to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting.
Intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work; therefore, drivers should expect delays. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot maximum lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
Emergency vehicles will have access through this area but may encounter delays.
The project is estimated for completion in October 2025.
