DOTD announces start of $4.6M project on La. 758 (Woodstone Rd.) in Evangeline & St. Landry Parishes

EVANGELINE & ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Friday, March 14, 2025, construction will commence on a $4.6 million project on La. 758 (Woodstone Rd.) from US 190 (Ronald Reagan Dr.) to La. 29 (Chataignier Rd.) in Evangeline and St. Landry Parishes.

SCOPE OF WORK
This 3.2-mile project will consist of milling asphaltic concrete, subgrade treatment, in-place base rehab, patching, asphalt overlay, rumble strips, striping, and related work.

TRAVEL IMPACTS
The work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work, therefore, drivers should expect delays. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot maximum lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.

Emergency vehicles will have access through this area but may encounter delays.

The project is estimated for completion in August 2025.
