DOTD announces $3.8M mill and overlay project on U.S. 90 eastbound in Iberia Parish set to begin February 24

IBERIA PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, February 24, construction will begin on a $3.8 M project on U.S. 90 eastbound, from LA 83 (Weeks Island Road) to LA 85 (Patout Road), in Iberia Parish.

The project consists of milling asphalt concrete, asphalt concrete overlay, guard rail, pavement markings, and related work.

Work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

There will be alternating lanes closures throughout this project. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot maximum lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.

Emergency vehicles will have access to this area but may encounter delays.

The project is estimated for completion by summer 2025.
