Belle Chasse Bridge & Tunnel Project: Lane Closure Notice

BELLE CHASSE, LA. - The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project announces the following scheduled construction activities and anticipated traffic impacts. As always, these anticipated impacts are weather permitting and subject to potential changes.
Daytime
Tuesday, 2/11 (8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.)
· LA 23 northbound left lane closure from Burmaster Rd. to RaceTrac.
· LA 23 southbound right lane closure from Engineers Rd. to Barriere Rd.
. LA 23 northbound right lane closure across the old Belle Chasse Bridge
Wednesday, 2/12 (8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.)
· LA 23 southbound right lane closure from RaceTrac to Engineers Rd.
Nighttime
Friday, 2/14 (7:30 p.m.) – Monday, 2/17 (5:00 a.m.) TEMPORARY BRIDGE CLOSURE
· LA 23 northbound and southbound double lane closure from Engineers Rd. to Barriere Rd. and 2-way traffic will be put on the old Belle Chasse lift bridge
· This temporary switch is necessary for asphalt work on the approach ramps as we reach the final stages of bridge completion. Following this shift, southbound LA23 traffic will be in its final configuration on the new Belle Chasse Bridge. Northbound traffic will resume on the old Belle Chasse Bridge.
