PROJECT UPDATE: LA 1026 (JUBAN RD.) WIDENING AND ROUNDABOUT @ US 190

Denham Springs, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a traffic shift for the LA 1026: Widening and Roundabout project at US 190 and LA 1026.
Contractors have shifted traffic onto the new roundabout roadway and removed the traffic signal, allowing traffic to flow while additional work is completed over the next few months.
In just the last few days, more than 2,500 tons of asphalt have been placed. Work will continue overnight Thursday and Friday night from 6 p.m. – 6 a.m. as crews work to restripe the intersection for the new roundabout configuration. Lane restrictions may occur, so residents wanting to avoid the intersection should use alternate routes.

When completed, the project will widen Juban Rd. between US 190 and I-12, provide a completed roundabout at US 190 and Juban, have access circles for business and residents along Juban Rd., and be fully restriped.
