UPDATED: DOTD announces special event traffic control near S.B. Experience/Convention Center

New Orleans - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces special event traffic restrictions near the Super Bowl Experience at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center to help local authorities manage traffic control.
Starting Wednesday, February 5, at 9 a.m., westbound/riverbound Calliope Street (US 90B Frontage Rd.) between Magazine St. and Annunciation St. in New Orleans will be closed until 12 a.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2025. (This is the Uptown side of Calliope St. only)
Additionally, during the same period, traffic exiting the Tchoupitoulas exit on US 90B eastbound (Crescent City Connection Bridge from the Westbank) will not be able to access the Calliope St. split access exit ramp near the base of the exit. Eastbound traffic exiting the Tchoupitoulas St. exit will only be able to take the Tchoupitoulas St. split ramp toward Uptown.
There will be no restrictions on the westbound US 90B Tchoupitoulas St. exit (toward the Westbank).
These traffic closures will be cleared at 12 a.m. on Sunday, February 9, allowing unrestricted travel along these routes for Super Bowl Sunday.
Please note: There are no restrictions on through travel on the Pontchartrain Expressway/Crescent City Connection.
