ST. LANDRY PARISH, LA - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, February 3, 2025, construction will begin on a $5.03 million project to resurface and improve drainage structures on a 4.7-mile stretch of La. 10 from Little Wauksha Bridge to U.S. 71 in St. Landry Parish.
The project will include borrow work, cross drain pipe installation, precast concrete box culverts, asphalt removal, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, asphalt concrete overlay, and related work.
Intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work; therefore, drivers should expect delays.
Work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., weather permitting.
There will also be separate planned full road closure events during the project which are necessary to install drainage structures across the roadway. The Department will publish press releases for these planned road closure events, and detour routes will be posted.
Emergency vehicles will have access to this area, except during planned full road closure events.
This project is estimated for completion in December 2025.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
