DOTD announces signal upgrade to La. 96 (E Bridge St.) at La. 347 (Cemetery Rd.) intersection in St. Martinville

UPDATE: DOTD announces that all work has been completed at the intersection of La. 96 and La. 347 in St. Martinville. The upgraded traffic signal is now operational.
ST. MARTINVILLE, La. - DOTD announces that beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, December 16, the intersection of La. 96 (E. Bridge St.) and La. 347 (Cemetery Rd.) in St. Martinville will be temporarily converted to a four-way stop.
This temporary conversion is necessary to allow crews to upgrade the existing span wire traffic signal to a mast arm traffic signal.
The four-way stop will be removed once the new signal is operational.
Work is expected to be completed on Friday, December 20, weather permitting.
No detour will be necessary. There will be no truck restrictions and emergency vehicles will have access to the area but should expect delays.
