UPDATE: DOTD announces that the new traffic signal at the intersection of La. 182 (Old Spanish Trail) and La. 674 (Kiper Road) is now fully operational.



UPDATE AS OF 11/22/24:
NEW IBERIA, LA - DOTD announces that work to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of La. 182 (Old Spanish Trail) and La. 674 (Kiper Road) in New Iberia, Louisiana will move forward as planned this weekend.

To install the new traffic signal and remove the existing flashing beacon, La. 182 at its intersection with La. 674 will have a temporary flagging operation on November 23 and November 24 from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day.

Once the signal is installed, it will remain in flashing mode until all final changes related to the signal can be completed. DOTD will notify the public when the traffic signal becomes fully operational.


As a reminder, no detour will be necessary. There will be no truck restrictions, and emergency vehicles will have access to the area but can expect delays.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds motorists to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
