DOTD announces $1 Million Road Construction Project Coming to Eunice

ST. LANDRY PARISH, LA - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, September 16, 2024 construction will commence on an $1 million project on LA 3116 from Sittig Street, at the Acadia Parish line, to E. Maple Avenue in St. Landry Parish.
This project will consist of milling asphaltic pavement, pavement patching, asphalt overlay, and related work.
The work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Drivers should expect delays, as intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work.
The road will be open to regular traffic with a 9-foot maximum lane width restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
Emergency vehicles will have access through this area.
The project is estimated for completion in December 2024.
