DOTD announces sidewalk project coming to City of Scott

SCOTT, LA - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that on October 1, 2024, work will begin on a $447,584.40 project, to construct new sidewalks, driveways, and handicap ramps along Old Spanish Trail from Apollo Road to Alfred Street in the City of Scott.

Work is expected to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Intermittent lane closures may be necessary to perform the work in each area; therefore, drivers should expect some delays.

The project is estimated for completion in April 2025.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
