Baton Rouge – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is advising motorists that many state routes throughout Louisiana are still closed due to the effects of Hurricane Francine. Below is a list of closures that are still in effect. Keep in mind that this list may change quickly due to crews working continuously, as well as power outages preventing notices from being announced.

DOTD emphasizes the importance of safety. Never drive around “road closed” signs or barricades under any circumstances.

Many traffic signals in the area may be without power and thus non-operational. Drivers encountering dark traffic signals should treat these intersections as four-way stops in the absence of law enforcement personnel directing traffic.

Motorists are encouraged to check the status of road conditions prior to beginning commutes to impacted areas by utilizing the following resources for the latest information regarding road conditions:
