NOW OPEN!!! DOTD announces temporary closure of La. 317 in St. Mary Parish ahead of severe weather

UPDATE: LA 317 IS NOW OPEN!!!


ST. MARY PARISH, LA -As a preemptive measure prior to the arrival of Tropical Storm Francine, DOTD announces that beginning Tuesday, September 10, 2024, LA 317 will be closed at the protection levee crossing, effective immediately.

This closure is expected to remain in place until the severe weather subsides and the route is deemed passable for the traveling public.
